About Us

Composite Developments (NZ) Ltd was founded by husband and wife team, Marty and Sue Johanson, alongside U.S.A. based partner Richard Kantner in 1981. Fuelled by a love for fishing and the outdoors, they began as a fishing rod and blank manufacturer in New Zealand. Now 40+ years on, Composite Developments (NZ) Ltd continues to by fuelled by a love for adventure, proudly distributing industry-leading outdoor brands including; Okuma, Rapala, Pelagic Gear, Orson, Wild Land and many more for the New Zealand market.
